Awards
Coveted Memorial Ralph Award
In memory of Aquarena Springs' famous diving pig, Ralph, the Creative Summit annually awards the Coveted Memorial Ralph Award to distinguished students for their outstanding creative works. It's not an Oscar, an Emmy, or a Tony, but it's pretty close!
The Singing Cow Scholarship Award
This award for outstanding creativity is presented in memory of Texas advertising legend Lyle Metzdorf. Lyle will perhaps be remembered most for his endearing work for Blue Bell Ice Cream, a client relationship that spanned over 30 years. The Creative Summit is honored to take part in passing on the spirit of Metzdorf's unique passion and creativity through this annual scholarship award.
The Honorary Hoffman Award
In 2005, the Creative Summit lost a creative genius and beloved friend, Gene Hoffman. An exceptionally gifted illustrator and artist, Gene had long been the Summit's most enthusiastic participant and friend. His legacy continues to inspire all who were lucky enough to know him. To honor his unique talent, this scholarship award is presented for creative excellence and funded annually by past Creative Summit speakers.
Sue Reynolds Memorial Award
For more than 30 years, Sue Reynolds served as Secretary for the Dallas Society of Visual Communication, but she was so much more than that. Sue was the DSVC's guiding light, one of its most tireless volunteers, and truly one of its kindest souls. She loved the Creative Summit and everything that it stands for. Through this award, Sue's love and passion for this industry will live on.
Chris Hill Creative Passion Award
This scholarship award, established and sponsored by Heidi Hanna, commemorates the educational and career achievements of Chris Hill as a distinguished AIGA Fellow Award honoree. Chris will personally select this year's Creative Passion Award recipient based on the level of creativity and passion exhibited in the work.
Certificates of Excellence
Certificates of Excellence will be awarded to all entries accepted into the show.
Cash Awards
This year's winners will be announced at the Creative Summit awards ceremony on Saturday, March 27. Cash awards will be presented to the winning students. Individual scholarship amounts will be determined by the Summit judges. Last year at Creative Summit, cash awards totaled more than $25,000!
